Jollyes Pet Store sells small pets such as mice, guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits, rats, budgies, canaries, fish etc.
If you go into one of these stores, it all looks like everything is humane, and most of it is until the animals have been there for a certain amount of time and still haven't been sold.
Employees of Jollyes then kill these animals.
As if that isn't bad enough, the way they kill these animals is just cruel and inhumane. What they do is they put them into a carrier bag/bin liner and then use a hammer to smash these poor defenceless animals apart.
If you've ever had a pet, you would never have wanted it to be killed like this if you hadn't been able to give them a home. Just because they haven't got a home yet, doesn't mean it's okay to kill them, especially so inhumanely. And just because they've been there for a short amount of time and not been sold, doesn't mean that they will never get sold.
We need to stop this!
We need to stop Jollyes killing these animals, or preferably stop them selling animals altogether, because if they continue to sell them, we won't know for certain that they've stopped mistreating the animals (if they claim to have stopped)

Once I get some signatures, I will send the petition to the Jollyes manager and go and speak to them about it.
We the undersigned are appalled by how Jollyes kill the animals which aren't sold within a certain amount of time.
Not only is it unnecessary, it is also inhumane and cruel.
If you can't sell the animals within the amount of time you give them to be sold, leave them there and someone WILL buy them or at least kill them in a more humane way, otherwise you shouldn't sell animals at all.
Imagine what it's like to be the animal being killed like that, you wouldn't like it at all.
We will not be coming into the Jollyes stores or buying anything until you change this. We will also be telling everyone we know about this cruelty.
