Algebra as a choice

It seems to me that making Algebra a manditory subject is a waste of time. For instance in order to be a kindergarten teacher, one must take this subject.   Once finished it will never be implemented again.
Algebra should not be pushed on people unless they are going to use it.
Tell your govenors to take it out of the educational system as a mandatory subject and left as a choice.
