BAN HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP

High fructose corn syrup is now the number one source of calories in the American diet, be it from soda, processed grains, cereals, or straight desserts. And look around... never have we had such mass preventable disease, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, gout, cancer, obesity... it makes me sick to see this much sickness. The worst part is most people do not even know how much healthier they can be, they have been trained to accept sub-par health, which forces them to be slaves to the health care system, affording these companies billions of dollars in profits off of our pain and suffering. 
Because high fructose corn syrup is the #1 source of calories in the USA the government gives large subsidies to farmers who grow corn, thus allowing high fructose corn syrup to be created extremely cheaply. Why can't the government grant massive subsidies for farmers who raise organic, grass-fed cattle, organic broccoli, or ____ (insert your favorite health food here)? Sadly it all comes down to the money... the government is in bed with the healthcare industry, the seed industry, and the processed food industry; these industries have some of the most powerful lobbyist in the world... and why are they so powerful? We handed them the power when they handed us a can of soda.                                                                                                              Let's take the first step to a healthier America by removing high fructose corn syrup from our diets and advising those we care about to do the same.
