I was a battered woman, I left my abusive husband and he held my baby in his arms and would not let me have him, i contacted the police but they said that since we were married we both had rights to him. I went to court and even though this man is a known drug user, attempted suicide, has beat every woman he has contact with including his daughter, sister and even his own mother when we went to court, because he had "possession" of the baby, he got to keep the baby. If I refuse sex, money or to come home then i don't get to see my baby. I have not seen or heard from him in 1 month and counting. I am NOT a mother that walked away from my child willingly, He was NOT removed from my home by child protective services. I did not take him somewhere and leave him to not go back for 31 days. Unlike Casey Anthony, I do not go out clubbing and partying I spend every minute I can trying to get my son back. We are due back in court October 13, 2008. Please sign this petition to let the courts know that just because a person has possession does not make it in the best interest of the court.

This mother has not been accused of any kind of abuse or neglect and there was no good reason for her to not have custody of the child Jerry Joshua Dewayne Smart.
The father has went above and beyond to violate the order of conduct set forth by your court. He repeatedly denies the mother and child any contact with each other and even goes so far as to tell the child his mother does not love him.
