Urge NC Board of Community Colleges To Approve Undocumented Student Policy Today
Dear NC Board of Community Colleges,
I applaud your efforts to provide access to community colleges to undocumented students and
urge you to approve the new proposed policy as soon as possible.
Every year, scores of talented, yet undocumented students graduate from our local high schools without many opportunities to continue their education. If enacted, your policy will give those proven students the opportunity to compete and succeed in the global market.
Given the way the policy has been drafted, there is little reason to deny its approval at your next meeting. North Carolina has so much to gain and so little to lose from this policy.
I urge not to heed to any misplaced fears and to approve the policy as soon as possible.
