Defend! - Don't End - Our Medical Marijuana Rights!
The President needs to hear that the Federal crackdown on licensed, regulated medical marijuana collectives is damaging to patients, their families, and our communities. He has the power to sign an executive order to temporarily halt the DOJ, the DEA, the ATF, the US Dept of Treasury, and the IRS from crushing licensed, regulated medical marijuana dispensaries allowed by State law. The people have spoken, and the patients are suffering with fear and denial of safe, palliative relief from legal medical cannabis.There is no need for this and it is an irrational response to an enormously important issue. We are "Innocent until proven guilty" but the Fed actions taken are meant to ensure that we are denied our rights no matter what the Constitution says.
We, the undersigned, respectfully request that the President sign an executive order to temporarily halt the Federal crackdown on medical marijuana dispensaries, facilities, patients, caregivers, and their communities. We have overwhelming evidence that marijuana is safe, effective and necessary to countless patients in the US who are now in danger of severe medical repercussions due to the unfair crushing of licensed and regulated outlets. We have strong legal arguments backed by the Constitution. It is unfair and unAmerican to be condemned as "guilty before proven innocent", before we have our day in court. This terrible situation is causing the President to lose support across the nation.Thank you for taking the time to consider our request.
