Demolition of the Kings Park Psychiatric Center and build a Skate Park and Recreational Park for Chi

I've decided to create this petition as a starting point to something that should have happened already, but could potentially still happen in the future.  The Kings Park Psychiatric Center located in Kings Park, New York is a big part of Long Island's history and culture.  Although this historic place is beautiful and interesting, it would benefit all of Long Island and Kings Park residents if it were demolished safely and efficiently, resulting in the making a of a recreational park for children and teens.  Also, as a resident of Kings Park, the building of a skate park would be a great success for the community of Kings Park.  Where do you go in Kings Park where you don't see kids riding around on skateboards, scooters, or bicycles? No where!  This would be a great turn out for everyone on Long Island and the residents of Kings Park if someone could take charge and get to the demolition of this site and start building parks and recreational places for children and teens to have good, safe fun in their town.  If you agree with this article and would rather have a skate park and a recreational state park instead of a few broken down buildings, please, sign this petition.
