Halt TU Arena Now

We, the undersigned, are concerned neighbors of Towson University who will be negatively impacted by construction of a large new redundant 5,000 seat 90,000 square foot arena on Lot 21 on Towson University property.  This represents a major change from an earlier Master Plan which slated this building to be constructed on the north side of the current arena, closer to the stadium.  Residents not properly notified and were not allowed input.  This arena will ruin our quality-of-life and cause undue hardship to surrounding neighbors in the form of noise and light pollution, traffic, increased crime, and trash as well as property devaluation. 

We demand a HALT to construction activities and expenditures until:

• The surrounding communities and legislators have had time to review the proposed plans


• Towson University has been able to consider the needs of the community


• Meetings have been held in order to create a mutually acceptable plan for the project.
