Free Stephen Evans

My name is Kelly Evans. My husbands name is Stephen Evans. He has a daughter from a previous marriage. She is ten but will be turning eleven September third. He will be missing out on her birthday with many other things. She is very active in sports and her daddy has never missed a game. Until now that is. She is a daddy's little girl and this has taken a tole on her. Our son together is nine months old. He will be turning one November tenth. Steve will miss out on his first birthday. He will not get to see him walking all around the house and he will miss the first words. Our little boy misses Steve. For the first week that Steve was gone Tyler cried non stop. All he would say is da-da. Over and over until he would finally fall asleep. Steve is the one who put him to bed and got up with him. He still has trouble sleeping at night because his constant is gone. He knows something is missing.
           On September 21st Steve was in a fight. The other man had started the fight. He charged at Steve and hit Steve first. Steve defended himself. He was unjustly charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The weapon being the pavement. There was medical evidence that that did not happen. I honestly do not know why the jury would give him that charge. I have talked to one of the jury members and she told me that she regrets her decision. Not only did Tim start the fight but he had drugs in his system. He had alcohol, marijuana, darvacet and ectasy. Once they found the drugs in his system they (the police) searched his car where they found marijuana and a crack pipe. Around the town that we live in he is known as mofo. He has a shirt that says mofo on the front and aint done a mother f*%king thing on the back. He has a record for assaults among other things. We were not aloud to bring this up in court. So now because my husband defended himself our family is paying for it because of Johnson County. We need your help to free my husband who is a Christian. He does not drink do drugs or even smoke. He is a great father and husband. He is a son and a brother. We need him back home with his family. Thank you for your time.
