Over the years, Carpet Cushion Alliance, LLC, a branch of Mohawk Industries, INC., located in Torrington, Connecticut, has been the source of many problems for over a decade. Torrington is a small city in the Northwest Hills of Connecticut. It's focus is to improve looks and make it look more historical, but this factory is turning it all around. The factory is located right in the middle of Downtown, next to houses, where it doesn't belong. Over the years, neighbors have complained because of overnight idling trucks, making it impossible to sleep. During the day, the factory was the source of smells, and also sometimes would produce white, flaky foam which would land on nearby food, cars, and houses. All these problems are a threat to people's health and the environment. Also, the factory has rust stains all over the building, making it un-appealing. Although the fire department and police department would be called, there was no actions taken. The factory makes thousands of dollars for the city, but the location it's in is not a good place. Torrington has an Industrial Park miles away from houses, where the factory could be moved. Please, take action now and help move this factory away from the concerned citizens in Torrington.
