No to dogs in cages !
More and more dog owners have been putting their dogs in cages. They are being told that dogs learn to be happy and love their cages. This is only because dogs learn that the cage is his or her home. Doesn't mean they want to be locked up in them and they are actually a lot more happy when they are let out ! Ever see a happy puppy in a pet shop cage? No ! They only want out ! Dogs do not belong in cages and it is yet another cruel and selfish human practice. They call the cages crates so it doesn't seem so bad.
Unless a dog is very dangerous, I see no reason for keeping dogs in a cage and even if dangerous, those dogs deserve more space. We don't keep our children in cages just because they make messes and annoy us, so why would we do so for dogs?
There are even people who keep puppies in cages all day long for 3 days when they first get them to potty train them. What a way to welcome a puppy ! It's selfish as the owner just does not want to take the time to potty train the puppy in a more human and respectful manner. Just like most pet shop owners don't want to pay for more space so that their pups have more. Some owners keep their dogs in these cages all day while they are gone to work. Not only does the dog have to cope with being alone all day, but he has to be confined to a cage in which he can barely move.
I care for dogs and don't think they should be treated like objects and should be treated with respect as all other family members are treated. They should have enough space to be free to roam and to be ''really'' happy. It's time to speak up and spread the word to stop this epidemic. If what dogs do bother you, train them to have better behavior or just don't have a dog at all, but don't keep them confined with such little space.
Please help these dogs and say no to cages !
No more dogs in cages please !
If what dogs do bother you, train them to have better behavior or don't have a dog at all, but please don't keep them confined with such little space. Don't feel guilty if you have been doing so without bad intentions. It's never to late to improve the situation.
If you don't have the patience or time to care for a dog, someone else may be capable of doing so.
Thanks for reading and best wishes to all dogs and dog owners !
