Some may still argue that the statistical evidence is not significant enough to link the cause. However, why should we take that risk of letting it happen? If we are already shouldering the responsibility of global warming, shouldn%u2019t we be more urgently concern with this danger,- which seems to show strong evidence, and is more urgent and imminent?
We need a petition to form a plan to phase out ALL drilling activities over the next few yrs! Yes, not an error , next few yrs, not 20 yrs or 50. And we need a plan to heavily invest in solar and wind energy alternatives since they are safe, to satisfy global energy demand to prevent the world economies from collapsing into a energy inflation crisis scenarios where people die of hunger and all economic activities come to a standstill. Even on a strict conservation energy plan for the consumer, the global energy usage is still huge with emerging markets such as India and china growing rapidly each day.
As for Metals substitute, there is already tons of research out there on using hemp, rubber, bamboo,and host of other tree-based alternatives to minimize or eliminate the usage of metals/minerals. More planning and investments should be quickly organized and deployed. Metals for consturuction can be eliminated as we san restrict high rise buidlings. In cars, it could be minimized with other composite. So whats left is piping and communication linkage and conductivity that can be researched.
