Save the Glades!

Dear Sugarloafers,
      The Sugarloaf management will be (or already have begun) putting up signs on some of the best trails of Sugarloaf. These include Pipecleaner, Toke Road, and some other small glades. On a recent topic on the Sugarloaf Community website, almost everyone who posted had said that Pipeclaner is one of their favorite glades. If signs are put up on these forest trails, all of the unexperienced tourists who come to Sugarloaf will go into these glades, scrape all of the snow off, and some of them will get stuck and/or injured, increasing traffic and the load on the ski patrollers. If these signs are put up, Sugarloaf will have taken the first step in beginning to lose it's closely knit atmosphere of dedicated Mainers (and of course the 'loafers from New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts.) So please, if you want Sugarloaf to stay the unbeatable, indescribable mountain that it is, please sign this petition!
