Should I Run For Political Office someday?

Hi, I have been adamantly watching hundreds of news clips, political debates, and so on that ultimately affect us as a people of the United States of America. I don't have a background in any politics whatsoever. I am a huge fan of Michael Moore and heard his speech to hundreds of people down in San Francisco where he told them that even some of us should run for president. I looked up the information for the requirements of my state to be Senator. The only thing it asks for is a measly 1% of all the number of voters who voted last year, to sign a petition that states they want me to be senator, for my name to be on the ballet. I am a genuinely good person. I care about everyone, and in my own personal debates with people in my college courses whether it be political science, or philosophy I have been told I myself should run for president (jokingly of course) for my own personal views on how people in this country should be treated as citizens of the most powerful and richest country in the world. I want to help this country, but don't know how. I want to study law and someday try to be a part of politics. I just want to know if I would be accepted by everyone before I even begin.
