Stop Parks Canada from allowing the murder of polar bears

Should polar bears be slaughtered because people are too lazy to scare them away or too stubborn to stay out of their protected area during peak polar bear season?  Guns have been banned in national parks for 122 years, but Parks Canada is considering changing that law in certain parks to allow firearms for human protection. They say the changes in the law are for human safety, but there have been countless human deaths caused by guns -- many more than those caused by polar bears. This legislation could mean the slaughter of polar bears first, then the beginning of a cross-Canada trend in parks that opens the door for hunting, poaching and accidental human death. Guns kill.  They don't protect.  Please take action now!
We the undersigned believe that Parks Canada should uphold its commitment to the protection of our wildlife by not allowing firearms within any National Parks, including those with polar bears. Please consider the potential this has for allowing the unnecessary slaughter of animals and the precedent it may set for other parks. Please continue to uphold your 122-year reputation as protectors of nature and wildlife.  Thank you for taking the time to read this letter.
