SUPPORT WORLD PREMIER BAND & THOSE GUYS RETURN TO CHELO'S WATERFRONT!
Live performances at Chelo's Waterfront Grill in Warwick RI are one of the highlights of the summer season. Adults and Children alike are able to enjoy the scenery by the water, have good food and enjoy great music by some of the area's most beloved bands.
Unfortunately, in recent months, the neighbors of the popular restaurant have complained of noise pollution and unruly crowds. Two of the most popular bands, World Premier Band and Those Guys have been singled out as the biggest crowd draws and have not been contracted for this 2012 season and possibly in the future. This decision has been deemed extremely unfair as there is no proof that the fan base for these two groups have been responsible for the unruly behavior that neighbors are complaining about. The bands are not liable for fan behavior after partaking in alcoholic beverages.
We are asking support for these two bands to be able to continue playing at Chelo's Waterfront and allowing families to be able to enjoy their music for many times to come.
We are publically asking the Board of Public Safety - Warwick RI and Glenn Chelo - owner of Chelo's Restaurants, to reconsider their unfair decision to single out these two groups and allow them to be contracted along with the other musicians that WILL be allowed to play this summer.
The purpose of this petition is to show this committee that it is not fair to make an example out of these two popular groups while still allowing the live music at Chelo's to continue.
The Board of Public Safety in Warwick RI will be reviewing their decision within a couple of months. Please sign this petition with the positive hope of getting Those Guys and World Premier Band back at Chelo's Waterfront!!!

WE the undersigned are presenting this Petition to you, The Board of Public Safety and Mr. Glenn Chelo- owner of Chelo's Inc. to reconsider the non-contracting of said bands "World Premier Band" and "Those Guys" for summer perfomances at said location of "Chelo's Waterfront Bar and Grill" located at 1 Masthead Drive Warwick RI 02886.
We believe the decision of the Board and Mr. Chelo to "ban" aka non-contract and make an example of these two bands to be extremely unfair not only to the musicians involved but also to the fans (adults and children alike) of these two groups, especially when live music WILL be continually allowed on the Chelo's Waterfront premises during the summer months. Granted that "Those Guys" and "World Premier Band" have very large fan bases, there is no substantial proof to document that the crowds associated with these groups are solely responsible for the alleged unruly behavior that neighbors to Chelo's Waterfront have complained about to the Board. The Bands are not responsible for Patron behavior after consuming alcohol, that is the responsibility of the Patron individually and/or the Bartender to discretion the Patron's consumption of alcohol. Noise pollution can be rectified to an extent and with the construction of the new music "pavillion" on the patio at Chelo's last summer 2011, this was the objective.
We are asking you to reconsider your decision and allow the bands "Those Guys" and "World Premier Band" to be contracted again at Chelo's Waterfront and also allow the opportunity for family fun with great food and music with 2 of the areas most beloved bands.
