Take Away The Corporate License To Kill In Iraq!
Corporations like Blackwater are operating in Iraq without fear of prosecution under international and national laws. This more or less gives them a license to kill without fear of penalty. Haliburton has been given billions in no-bid contracts. It's time we remove these companies from the War in Iraq and hold them responsible for their conduct.
We the undersigned believe it is time for America to stop using the war in Iraq as an open bank account to corporate interests. Favorite companies of the President and his cabinet are costing the American tax payer billions, while getting a free pass on human rights, environmental issues, even civilian lives.
Blackwater has been given a waiver on all international and national laws, more or less a licanse to kill without fear of penalty. Haliburton has been awarded billions in no bid contracts.
It's time we say enough to corporate greed and indifference, and pull back these companies. We demand that companies like Blackwater be held responsible for past and future violations of the law, and open all industrial contracts to open bidding. The time is now to hold our political leaders and corporate leaders responsible for what they do and make sure contracts are given on a fair playing field.
Thank you for your time and action on this letter.
