Taxpayers Against Incarcerating Plaxico Burress

Plaxico Burress only harmed himself.  His actions were irresponsible and stupid, but he should not remain in prison.  In these tough economic times, the taxpayers should not be burden with paying over $75,000 for the incarceration of Plaxico Burress.  His sentence was unjust and unfair.  He should have been sentence to three years of probation, 1,600 hours of community service at high schools, community soup kitchens, mentoring programs, juvenile detention centers and senior citizens facilities.          

We, the signers of this petition, are requesting that New York Governor, David A. Paterson issue a pardon to Plaxico Burress and require him to complete the previous mention sentence.
