Thank You, TNT!
Everyone know's that TNT's tag line is "We Know Drama", but how often do you stop and think about what that really means?
Recently, fans of the hit show Southland had reason to really think about it when TNT rescued the show by picking it up after it was canceled by NBC just weeks before its scheduled Season 2 premiere, saving it from certain death. Not only was the show saved, giving a chance for the original Season 1 episodes to air, but fans will get the opportunity to see the 6 filmed-but-unseen Season 2 episodes as well. Depending on viewer response, the Network may even order new episodes to be created, as according to producer John Wells, the actors are all on contract until at least June 2010.
This is about more than just Southland, though. This is about hit shows like The Closer, Dark Blue, HawthoRNe, Leverage and new shows coming soon like Men of a Certain Age with Ray Romano and Scott Bakula. Perhaps you prefer syndicated dramas like Law and Order, ER, CSI: NY, Angel, Charmed, Bones or one of the many other hits that make up TNT's "Prime Time in the Daytime" lineup?
Whichever show is your favorite, TNT is leading the charge in providing quality entertainment in an age when broadcast networks are giving us talk shows, variety shows, talk shows, games shows and talk shows. When they do have a hit on their hands, or so it seems, the show gets canceled.
TNT's commitment doesn't stop at just airing quality drama's, either! They listen to the fans/viewers, which is the rarest of qualities in a network. They provide Community Forums on their website for fans to discuss the shows and actually participate, listening to what we have to say. They have representatives on Twitter, who talk to Fans and keep us updated. They treat us like real people and not just some anonymous numbers in a Nielsen box. That's a nice, refreshing change from a network these days.
So .... Thank you TNT and Turner Broadcasting! Keep up the good work and we'll keep watching!
We the undersigned wish to show our appreciation to you for all the quality programming you provide to us on TNT, as well as your dedication to us fans/viewers.
This petition is simply our way of saying "Thank You" to you in return for that dedication, as well as your efforts in saving the show Southland. We will do everything in our power to return the favor through ratings and by helping to spread the word about TNT and its great programming.
Sincerely,
