I, a constituent of the state of Florida, demand immediate changes in the unsanitary conditions and the inhumane treatment being inflicted on the animals under the care and control of government officials of Orange County and the employees of the Orange County Animal Services (OCAS), located at 2769 Conroy Road in Orlando, Florida 32839. Pointedly, I would like to see the utilization of the University of Florida Maddie's Shelter Medicine Programs, which includes shelter health assessment services programs: (1) Comprehensive Shelter Consultations (2) Disease Diagnostic, Control, and Prevention Services. In its current state, I feel the OCAS is not only a health hazard to those being housed there, but also to potential adopters who walk the corridors in search of a new member to include in their family. Additionally, it is my observation that the inadequate medical treatment and lack of general courtesies (adequate exercise, safe housing environment free of fecal matter, proper nutrition) borders on cruelty.

Thanks in advance for your assistance in making a change.
