It's business as usual in Washington DC . Real change can not occur if the career politicians continue to run the show. The most senior members of the Senate and Congress have the power and sit as committee chairs. Yet even as the credit crisis crippled the US Financial System those same leaders remain as chairs of the committees.
So I'm suggesting term limits so our elected officials do not get to powerful and they make decisions based on what's best for the country, not being re-elected! The alternative, send a message in this next election by voting the incumbants out! After all, they were in office during the financial crisis, the ongoing recession , years of excessive spending and inability to provide meaningful heallth care reform ! Just added a quote from a retiring politician, was to perfect: In
an interview on MSNBC this morning, newly retiring Sen. Evan Bayh declared the American political system "dysfunctional," riddled with "brain-dead partisanship" and permanent campaigning.
