STOP THE CRUELL AND DEADLY IDITAROD SLED DOG RACES IN ALASKA!!!!!

Please help stop the Iditarod sled dog race in Alaska that is scheduled to begin in March of 2024.

This race involves people (mushers) competing with a team of dogs to race 100 miles a day without resting. Their pads on their paws wear off and become raw and bloody, and they are still forced to continue to race for the entire 1,100 miles through ice and snow. Many of the dogs die of exhaustion and dehydration. One owner said, “better a dead dog than a slow dog”. The slow ones are killed. The dogs that live have damaged lungs as well as other physical injury for the rest of their lives from breathing the freezing air as they race for so many hours. When they break to sleep, they sleep on the frozen ground.

The winnings are over $50,000. The race is sponsored by many companies who benefit, as well as the state of Alaska. Many tourists spend thousands of dollars for this cruel entertainment.

I have contacted the ASCPA and Peta. They are trying to help stop it. Please consider this issue to be of utmost importance and help stop the race by signing this petition to stop this horrific animal abuse.
