Help Save The Rainforest
The Rainforest refreshes our atmosphere with oxygen and contains many life. If we destroy the Rainforest we will lose many species of animals, insects, and plants that have still not been discovered. There is an estimate that 137 species of plants and animals that live in the Rainforest are being lost per day due to deforestation. Almost half of the worlds species of animals, plants, and microorganisms will be destroyed or threatened due to Rainforest deforestation. The U.S. National Cancer Institute has identified 3,000 plants that are active against cancer cells. 70% of these plants can only be found in the Rainforest. Experts say that the Rainforest is worth more economic value if we keep the Rainforest intact and harvest its many fruits, nuts, oil-producing plants, and medicine plants then if we use the trees for timber or grazing land for cattle. The Rainforest once covered 14% of the Earths land surface. The Rainforest now covers 6% of the Earths land surface. There is a estimate that the rainforest could be destroyed less than 40 years.

The Rainforest must be saved. If the Rainforest is cut down it will not grow back and many species of plants and animals will be killed.
