Why should money come before protecting our kids in school

With all the children dying in our schools due too all of these school shootings iwant too know that our children are safe. Drills aren't enough! Our kids already feel like they are in prison so i feel 100% that we need medal dectors and armed gaurds. At least our kids will know they are safe. I do not feel our teachers should be armed with guns simply because they have enough pressure and they could go off potentially.
