No Road Through LaSalle Park Connecting to Lakefront Blvd

A roadway linking Porter Avenue to Lakefront Blvd. and by extension to Canalside via Erie Street, makes Lakefront Blvd a traffic nightmare. The mix of runners, walkers, cyclists and motor vehicles on Lakefront Blvd now, particularly in the Summer, is dangerous enough. Funneling automobile traffic from Porter Avenue to Erie Street via Lakefront Blvd is simply absurd.

Also, the additional developments approved or planned, (Ciminelli's West End, Development's towers planned for Lakefront Blvd near Erie Street Cedarland's (Waterfront Village Business Center at 50 Lakefront Blvd), will increase the density of motor vehicle traffic on Lakefront Blvd to more than the street can handle. Lastly, it's easy to envision very real bottlenecks on Lakefront Blvd when there are events at Key Center if this roadway is built.
