Demand to Demolish Comdemned House at 309 Mitchell Street in Catlettsburg, KY. 41129

I reside in a home neighboring 309 Mitchell Street in Catlettsburg, KY. The house has been vacant for several years until it was purchased sometime last year by Mr. Shawn Hall. I had hoped this was some indication someone would finally restore this place that had been such an appalling sight and an embarrassment to live by.

Surprisingly, the outside appearance is even worse than before. Mr. Hall has inconsiderately turned the back yard into a pile of carpeting and other remains from what I assume to be cosmetic repairs inside the house.

When I saw new neighbors moving in during early January I became hopeful again that the place might be restored. Although, when I first met them it was apparent they were both miserable. They discussed having no heat in the coldest time during this Winter. They explained how Mr. Halll had forbidden them to contact him at a time that was inconvenient for him. Only a few weeks later I was saddened when I saw them loading their Uhaul to leave what must have been a horrible experience.

It is difficult to discern whether Mr. Hall's continued neglect to clean the back yard or knowing he has been entitled to mistreat people is more upsetting to the community.

It is my hope that Mr. Hall be held accountable for his neglect and lack of concern for the impact of his behavior on the lives of other people. Please accept my signature as a petition for this house to be demolished in the in the best interest of our community.
