Crack down on Sexual Offenders and Sexual Predators

We think sex offenders should be charged a registration fee each time they move and have to register to reimburse the sheriffs department the costs for notification to residents.  We think any excess funds that are accumulated after payment of the costs of registration should be given to agencies that help sexually abused children such as the Prescott House or Advocacy Center in Birmingham, Alabama.  We would give the sheriffs office that is responsible for notification in each county the right to choose the agency that received the benefit of excess funds, if any.  We would include in that those funds be turned over yearly and be kept in an interest bearing trust fund until they are turned over.
