Hi, my name is Shaumini Sheppard, and with me is my Chocolate Lab Dakota. We would love to have a dog park right here in Springdale, NL. A dog park is a great place where dogs and owners can socialize and play.Dog parks allow owners and their dogs to spend time together while the dog satisfies its cravings for canine play and companionship. Respected organizations believe that dog parks are beneficial to both dogs and their guardians. They give dogs a place to exercise safely, thus reducing barking and other problem behaviors. A dog that is always leashed can become territorial. So if you would like to have a safe place for you dog to play with others please sign this petition, and pass it around. Hopefully we can get our very own dog park!

A dog park is a facility set aside for dogs to exercise and play off-leash in a controlled environment under the supervision of their owners.
