We are asking Hillary Clinton, for the good of the Democratic Party, to drop out of the race for the Democratic nomination for President. It is time to move on to the goal of winning the race for the presidency. Her continued presence in the race only divides the Democratic Party and weakens its position in the 2008 election. Hillary, please use your experience to help the party by working to secure a victory. Please don't hurt the party by remaining in the race.
We the undersigned are appealing to you, Sen. Hillary Clinton, to drop out of the race for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States as a goodwill move for the benefit of the Democratic Party and its goal of winning back the White House in 2008.
We applaud your efforts during this hard-fought campaign, but Sen. Barack Obama has won more states and more pledged delegates. By continuing in this race, you only stand to further divide and weaken the Democratic Party at a time when unity is crucial to secure victory against Sen. John McCain in November.
