"We are more than a building, we are the Senior Community"

The City of Shawnee, Oklahoma has been experiencing some financial issues and has had to make some very difficult decisions.  There has been a significant cost savings campaign that is directly effecting the Shawnee Senior Center.  We have lost the partnership funding that the City of Shawnee has provided for the last 34 years in the form of a contract for services.

This petition is an effort to show the Shawnee City Commission that the citizens view Shawnee Senior Center and its programs and services as a vital part of the Shawnee, Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma community. If you, a family member, friend or loved one participate in Shawnee Senior Center programs, have rented rooms for events or attended events here and found them worthwhile, please sign this petition.  Thank you!
