We the undersigned, hereby respectfully, BUT ADAMANTLY request that our consumer utility advocacy agency AND OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS IMMEDIATELY STOP NYSEG AND ANY OTHER UTILITY ENERGY/ SERVICE PROVIDERS from the PRICE GOUGING PRACTICES currently in effect!!!
The definition of price-gouging is:
Price gouging is a pejorative term referring to when a seller spikes the prices of goods, services or commodities to a level much higher than is considered reasonable or fair, and is considered exploitative, potentially to an unethical extent.
Our residents in the state of New York are already having to decide between life-saving medications, their taxes, and their utility bills, not to mention food costs.
We are the third highest state for people moving out because the cost of living is exorbitant and unrealistic. People are losing their homes and dying because they can't afford their payments and medications in relation to extreme costs to survive.
What these utility companies are doing is Criminal!
We implore, request, demand that our representatives and the agencies that are here to protect us stand for us and not only put an immediate stop to this, but bring charges, and return our hard-earned money to us.
We ask for a full investigation and a class action lawsuit, on behalf of the residents of the state of New York against NYSEG and any other utility company using these unethical and criminal practices.
