The Amazon Rainforest, the last rainforest of its kind, is home to thousands of animal species, some of them found nowhere else on the planet. Over 427 mammals, 1,300 birds, and 400 amphibian species live in the Amazon. Tragically, 1,300 square miles of the Amazon Rainforest has been burned down since President Jair Bolsanaro entered office in January 2019. This has jeopardized the survival of all of the amazing animals that call the Amazon home; such as the Amazon River Dolphin, Toucan, Poison Dart Frogs, Tamarins and Jaguars; most of which are already endangered. Burning down the Amazon also jeopardizes the survival of everyone else on the planet.

Not only does the Amazon supply 6% of the world's oxygen, but it also plays a vital role in removing 2 billion tons of carbon dioxide from our atmosphere every year. If the Amazon continues to burn, large quantities of carbon monoxide (a deadly gas) will be released into our air, accelerating global warming.

The Amazon is vital for our existence, without her, precious animals will continue to parish and we will place our own existence in jeopardy!

Please help stop the continued destruction of the Amazon Rainforest. Speak up for the animals who call her home and for our future on Earth.
