Calling for safety and health protection from the harmful conditions of Rogers High School, Newport R.I.

Rogers High School is in deplorable condition. The environment is unhealthy and not safe for our students and staff. There is mold growing all over, mice/rats running around everywhere, water is unsafe to drink, food is not cooked right (due to old equipment not working)or expired, when it rains the school floods (buckets everywhere), electrical outlets fried, breakers go out and need to be reset, heat does not work in the winter, during hot weather no fans or ac, the structure is falling apart, and gym floor is lifting to name a few problems. Yes there is a plan in the works to "fix our schools" but it will take up to 7 years before the school will be fixed. We need immediate action. Weather it's bring in educational trailers, or relocate the staff and students it must be done now. We as a community are concern for the safety and health of all students and staff (present and future) of Rogers High School.
