We Demand an End to the No Hat Policy In Hampton Bays High School

To Hampton Bays Students I am asking for you to sign a petition that will ban the no hat policy that exist in the Hampton Bays School District. Hats are used as forms of expressing yourself and they are of use for many other things. Students mix and match hats with daily outfits for stylish purposes, warmth, religious reasons, against weather, to hide a bad hair day, to keep the sun out of your eyes and some people even use it as a method to concentrate and stay focused on a task at hand.
Another problem that arises is that certain kids are targeted and penalized for wearing their hats in school. Although they are not supposed to be wearing them, not everyone is punished the same way. There should be equitable treatment in how rules are enforced. Some kids are targeted more than others or receive a greater disciplinary repercussion.
