SAY NO!!! to the Go-Ape PROPOSED ZIPLINE FOR GREENSFELDER PARK!

  • par: Concerned Citizens
  • destinataire: St. Louis County Parks Department and County Council
Greensfelder Park was donated to St. Louis County by Civic Leader Albert P. Greensfelder, an avid Conservationist who wanted to protect this beautiful 1800 acre site, and who also secured Rockwood Reservation for the state of Missouri.

WE THE PEOPLE who have signed below are in TOTAL OPPOSITION to the proposed recreational Zipline development in this Park.

Adjacent to the proposed Zipline site, is a very popular horse trailer parking and staging area, camping facilities, group picnic pavillons, road access to Greensfelder Public Stables, a parking area for bicycle riders.....and access RIGHT AT THIS LOCATION to almost ALL the major TRAILHEADS for horses, bikers and hikers. This proposed course would potentially bring in 11,000 to 21,000 course users each year causing major congestion and problems for park trail users.

The surrounding neighborhoods and roads to Greensfelder, Allenton Road and others, are rural, narrow, winding two-lane roads with blind curves set amongst quiet and rolling hills in St. Louis County.
