demand a law to protect the Amazon Rainforest in Peru

During the past 40 years, close to 20 percent of the Amazon rain forest has been cut down. About every 8 minutes, an area of rain forest larger than 200 football fields is destroyed. Although Brazil has noticed how quickly the rainforest has been cut down and have taken action, Peru is taking down trees and replacing them with dams and pipelines. The Amazon rainforest is known to be one of the most biodiverse region on Earth and yet it's being torn apart. Approximately 617,762.5 acres of jungle in Peru alone is cut down. Most of this is due to logging, mining, petroleum drilling and road development. Peru needs to have a law protecting the wildlife and the jungle that holds it.
