Scott Hoepfner's Suicide

Francis Howell Central High School did not publicly acknowledge the suicide of the late Scott Hoepfner and it has felt like the situation is being belittled and Scott's short life has been given zero respect while other topics like drug abuse is openly discussed. On other occasions FHC has refused to speak on 9/11 and Veteran's Day. All that I want is to raise awareness for Scott and for some form of action to be taken by FHC. I completely understand and respect the wishes of the family which take presedence. I do not want an event like such to happen again and it all starts with open discussion. Please sign to show your disapproval of the actions, or lack thereof, taken place at FHC.

First of all, thank you to everyone that has supported my petition; Central has finally taken action in regards to Scott’s suicide and I owe a large part of that to the influence of now over 200 people. This has made a direct impact to our school and that is all I was seeking. Hope that Scott is still in everybody’s thoughts and that we as students/parents don’t allow the signs to go unnoticed to hopefully prevent this from happening at out school again.
