Save Our School - End Option to Close Meiners Oaks Elementary School

Help protect our children and our neighborhood school by signing, you are letting the school board know that you are objecting to a closure of Meiners Oaks Elementary School, now or in the immediate future.

We, the undersigned, are completely opposed to the closing of Meiners Oaks Elementary School. We feel that the loss of such a vital institution would have an extreme negative long term effect on our community; in effect, they would be removing a vital school which currently has an attendance of nearly 300 resident student, as well as undermining the quality of life and property values in this neighborhood. We condemn such short term reasoning especially after the recent massing of Measure J. We call on the board to find an innovative and community serving solution to the perceived problem rather than the current proposal to gut the established facility and displace the students of this neighborhood school.
