It's like curbing ESG growth. (ESG means environment, social, and governance, which are non-financial elements of a company.)

- It cares about social perspective rather than transparency in management and social management, which is the purpose of ESG, and executes it regardless of direct will.

- There are few opportunities for people to acquire information on the environment, nature, and ESG, and the importance of the sustainability of the environment is often not recognized.

  1) Please change ESG management to an optional strategy, not an essential management policy.

 - Currently, according to the Korea Corporate Governance Service (KCGS), sustainable management is an essential management policy that all companies should pursue. This is like putting silent pressure on domestic companies. ESG management should be a strategy for improving the company's image and sustainable management, and a strategy that gives responsibility for choices that are separate from ethical management that all companies must follow.

  

  2) Please run a campaign to change the perception of domestic ESG.

 - Compared to ESG regulations and sanctions imposed on domestic companies, people's perception of sustainability, such as environmental improvement, and resource maintenance, is weak. In general, people in our country often show behavior that lacks ethical awareness or responsibility for the environment. On any street in Korea, the garbage scattered on the streets is the basis for people's lack of awareness of the environment. A coffee franchise of a major company, a foreign company, claims consumers' rights to paper straws and opposes ESG itself. This leads to a lack of awareness of the environment without scope limits and companies' awareness of ESG, so I think a campaign is needed to improve public awareness of this.

  3) Please provide professional talent support for corporate governance.

 - The biggest determinant of ESG ratings is governance. This is also why it is difficult for domestic companies to receive high ratings. The Korea Corporate Governance Agency comprehensively evaluates the direction, decision-making system and function of the company's management strategy through the governance structure division when evaluating the company. This requires directors who make up the corporate board of directors to basically have expertise in finance, accounting, law, ESG, etc. However, many companies in our country are having a hard time even setting up professional boards like these. Therefore, in order to recruit professional entrepreneurs, we need to select the professional talent that we need in the company, but the majority of professional talent goes to domestic conglomerates or places that can benefit them most. In the end, professional talent will flock to top companies, so it is unlikely that other domestic companies will be dispatched. Providing domestic companies with the necessary subsidies or special reasons for hiring professional talent through state support can increase the possibility of many domestic companies hiring professional talent.

  4) Please provide opportunities to have expertise in various aspects.

 - People with expertise for current corporate goals and ESG standards are difficult to obtain from a company's point of view, and I think people have less opportunities to become professionals. People in Korea basically lack awareness of the environment, nature, sustainability, and ESG, have limited ways to acquire skills or expertise, and are most common in certain procedures. Please hold competitions and materials, compulsory education on importance, and lectures for students or beginners in society to gain these perceptions, skills, and expertise. Through this, students can basically acquire information about ESG, and I think there will be opportunities to experience more in-depth courses as needed. This can greatly contribute to the possession of professional talent in Korea and can greatly help improve people's awareness.

Conclusion: Perception of the environment, perception of nature, and perception of ESG by domestic companies can lead to the growth of individual people as well as the national perception and growth. Improvements in people's perception and support and standards flexibility for domestic companies are directly related to the state.
