Make it illegal to burn the American flag

STOP! READ THIS BEFORE YOU TRY TO TELL ME FLAG DESECRATION IS PROTECTED UNDER FREEDOM OF SPEECH!
The reason the U.S. Supreme court ruled that flag burning was legal, was because patriots burn the flag ceremonially. Therefor it is discrimination to allow one group to burn the flag and not another, however; nowhere did they rule any other form of flag desecration was protected, which means the State laws that say flag stomping, dragging, writing, wearing, or otherwise desecrating the flag is STILL illegal. NOW is the time to find out why these laws aren't being enforced.

These laws are still in place in almost every single state, no one is above the law, and there is no reason they should not be enforced.



The flag desecration challenges, and vandalism is getting ridiculous. We the people are FED UP!
At one point Flag desecration was illegal, and they dropped that law claiming it was unconstitutional however I beg to challenge that along with hundreds of my friends.

We STILL need this to be illegal on a federal level so that it may enforced nationwide and fairly.
If it’s considered unconstitutional to stop them from standing or otherwise desecrating the flag, then it would also be unconstitutional to arrest someone that was trying to STOP them from desecrating the flag, correct?
If they are desecrating the symbol of our Nation that gives them the RIGHT to desecrate the Flag, it should be null and void. By desecrating the flag you are in fact making a statement that you do not agree with or appreciate what it stands for, so you don’t deserve that right.
The reasoning for this challenge is to stop race wars, however the Flag has nothing to do with race. If I were cyber bullying, it isn’t protected under freedom of speech because it causes emotional damage to another human being, which is exactly what this is doing to hundreds and thousands of Veterans, active duty military and patriots across the country.
I have started this petition and in the short 24 hours, it has done quite well. We hope for change. Making it illegal to publicly desecrate the flag may help, you may keep your right to harm the flag in PRIVATE, without being able to post or brag about it, they wouldn't have a reason to do it. People are arrested all the time for what they say on social media. Desecrating the Flag is more than words, it’s hurtful for a number of reasons and must be stopped.

Why is stepping on, or other forms of desecration of the American Flag protected under Freedom of Speech due to fear of infringing on that right, at the same time terroristic threats, or threats against the U.S. President are just cause for arrest of the suspect?
STOP desecration of the American Flag. Not only does this anger hundreds of thousands of U.S. Military Veterans, Active Service Members, & Patriots, it goes as far as to anger citizens of other countries that would love the opportunity to be in America! We the people need to take a stand, those who do not respect our Flag and what it stands for, do not deserve the Freedoms that it represents.
