STOP WALMART IN LITTLE EGG HARBOR NJ
Little Egg Harbor cannot support the traffic that would be created by having this Big Box store located on Route 9. The traffic is becoming a problem already. This will also drive up traffic through our residential areas.
The environmental impacts will be runoff from the parking lots, light pollution at night, noise pollution from the traffic and garbage pollution. Parking lots tend to turn into dumping grounds for peoples garbage.
Our small businesses will be affected as well. Our local shops, garden centers and food markets rely on the local economy to stay in business. The addition of Walmart could cause these businesses to go under and create blighted areas by having abandoned strip malls and shopping centers around the township.
Think of the poor folks residing on Stage & Otis Bog roads. Their quiet neighborhoods are at risk. These areas of quiet, wooded neighborhoods are at risk to becoming noisy and polluted. Their view of the stars at night will be obliterated by the bright lights of this store. Would you want this in your backyard?

We the undersigned believe that this proposed Super Center will be the demise of our small town. No longer will we have that small town community feel. We will be destined to realm of BIG BOX and Cul De Sac world and become a nameless, faceless town just like the rest of NJ. No more South Jersey charm. We also believe that this will give other Big Box stores carte blanche in ruining our town. Stop the madness. Thank you for listening.
