I'm starting this petition to try to let Mayo know that employees, patients, and community members do not stand behind the decision to offer pregnancy termination (abortion) to our patients. I am a nurse at Mayo and have been blessed and proud to be so for over 15 years. I got an email in my role recently and learned that : " Both medical (gestational age < 10 weeks) and surgical termination (GA < 11 6/7 weeks) are now available at Mayo Rochester. However, this is NOT available for patients on Medical Assistance (Medicaid)". I feel that offering abortion to women in a vulnerable position is taking advantage of them. I feel that intentionally taking life is not moral or ethical. Mayo was founded on higher principles, and we should strive to uphold them! We can do better. We can come alongside these women and help them, rather than the opposite!

I'm hoping that taking this next step will help open the doors to policy change. If you know of anyone that can affect policy change at Mayo Clinic, please ask them to help however they can!!!
