Other than being a Constitutional Right as set in the Bill of Rights. Tell your elected law makers that tighter gun control laws won't stop gun violence. Where as thougher penalties for gun violence will. Make it so that a mandatory death sentence for anyone convicted of any degree of murder, and or criminal manslaughter. Where there is an intention to commit crime and a bystander or the victim is killed,in the commission of said crime. Let them know that the State with the least restrictions also has the lowest crime rate. Tell Congress that our Countries Founding Fathers wrote the 2nd Amendenment too ensure that the citizens of this Country would be protected, along with being able to protect this Country as well. Make them understand that by trying to taking ones firearms from everyone. Will not only make an otherwise law abiding citizens into criminals just for owning guns. That by disarming the populace only the criminals would have guns. Also if a person wants a firearm bad enough and has the right amount of money they can get any type weapon that they want including thirty,or fifty caliber belt fed machine guns to rocket launched grenades.
