Urge A&E Network To Stop Promoting Balloon Releases

Stop showing balloon releases on "The First 48"! Almost every storyline or episode ends in a balloon release!  The balloons and strings become litter where they land and pose a major hazard to wildlife. Balloons pollute our oceans and kill animals when they are entangled or ingested.

Ask the network to stop showing balloon releases on their shows, which promotes illegal littering, environmental hazards and wildlife destruction. 

We also ask that the A&E Network and the producers of "The First 48" encourage environmentally friendly alternatives, such as bubbles or candles, or the planting of a tree or flower garden to honor their loved ones on air.  Stop promoting this deadly practice!
