Restore Champion Old Home Day Parade to Original Form

In a startling break with a 60 year old tradition, the parade formed this year on the south side of Champion and proceeded to the firehall where it disbanded. Most parade-goers were visibly and vocally disappointed that it did not turn around and return to its point of origin as in the past. This also left parents of young children scrambling to locate their offspring, many of whom were stranded on the wrong side of route 126 - an extremely unsafe situation.

As we understand it, the person who recently bought the land where they always turned around didn't want them on his property - but we are sure we can figure out an alternative by next year. As this situation resulted with some of the young children being stranded on the fwrong side of Stste Route 126 when the traffic was released (when their parents expected them to come back in the line of march) -the situation certainly needs to be rethought.
