Justice for Timothy Michael Randall By Bringing An End To Qualified Immunity

On September 14, 2022, my life was shattered. My younger and only brother, Timothy Michael Randall, was tragically and unjustly taken from us in an act of violence that no family should ever have to endure. Timothy was kind, loving, and full of life. He didn’t deserve to die, and he certainly didn’t deserve the lies and cover-up that followed his murder. The man responsible for this heinous act—former Deputy Sgt. Shane Michael Iversen—attempted to erase the truth, aided by others who should have stood for justice.

For nearly two years, my mother and I fought tirelessly, filing a civil suit against the deputy and Rusk County, Texas, just to gain access to the dashcam video that finally revealed the truth. It was a heartbreaking and infuriating battle, but we refuse to stay silent. This tragedy has become my life’s mission: to immortalize Timothy’s truth, to fight for justice, and to ensure no other family endures the pain we have felt.
