REQUEST MAX PENALTY IN DOG SLAYING CASE (Las Vegas, NV)

UPDATE: This week, defendant Jeremy Espiritu was sentenced to 1 year imprisonment followed by 5 years probation. As a condition, if he violates his probation he will face up to 4 years imprisonment. Thank you for taking action!

"LAS VEGAS (AP) — A 22-year-old Las Vegas man who told police he slashed the throat of the family dog because he liked to hurt animals is taking a plea deal that could get him probation or up to four years in prison."

 We, the undersigned, request that you urge the Honorable Jerome Tao to administer the maximum penalty upon Jeremy Espiritu. Mr. Espiritu's actions not only show that he has a disregard for animals, but it also indicates that he may very well be a danger to himself and society. Thank you for your work on this matter!
