The abuse stops NOW

There isn't a time when I listen to the news, talk to a person at the dog park or when they explain how they had come to akiered their pet and especially when I go on social media that I see horrific abuse of so many animals.
Animal abuse is running ramped and if that's not bad enough, let's all remember that most abuse starts with animals and goes on to abusing children and the elderly. If the people that get away with this awesome abuse only get a fine or slap on the wrist they are much more likely to either repeat this abuse of animals or worse move on to vulnerable family members and they the public.
With the understanding that the jails/prisions are full, if animal abuse was classified as a violent crime, with miuch tougher penalties, these puppy mills, dog fighting rings, animals left chained outside in conditions that are bound to kill them in a slow horrible death , neglect and starvation would be cut down significantly. Animal abuse is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the people that do it.
