Save the history of the Historic Sweet Heart Inn
The owner of the Sweet Heart Inn is looking to tear downtime property and build FIFTEEN HOUSES, on about four acres. This area of Methuen the zoning is two acres.
Tearing the property down, we would lose a piece of Methuen's history. The public schools would have to accommodate for even more children. Instead, to preserve the history the land could be used to make a park, a soccer field, dog park, you name it. Giving the public access to outdoor activities and keeping the history. Many alternatives can be suggested, and are welcomed, but we only have 6 months (less now) to put a stop to tearing the property down. This is only a small step to show the local government neighbors do not want this... We still need people to voice their concerns, come to meetings and suggest alternatives.
