Protect Glen Lake from the proposed autobody shop at the corner of Glen Lake Road and Route 9

Glen Lake is facing a major threat.  An autobody and repair shop is being proposed adjacent to the Glen Lake Fen (a Class 1 Wetland) and its protected Critical Environmental Area and Land Conservation zoning that feed our lake. The autobody shop presents substantial environmental risks to our lake including runoff from toxic chemicals, oils, and heavy metals. In addition, the proposed autobody shop is out of character with the neighborhoods and will likely create traffic problems and noise and light pollution along this Adirondack corridor.

We strongly urge the Queensbury Planning Board to listen to the concerns, protect Glen Lake and the surrounding neighborhoods, and not approve this development. There are several other safer and more appropriate locations for this type of business in Queensbury.
